3/4" OD 316L Stainless Steel BPE Tubing, Welded, 16 Gauge (.065") - 20' Length (SFT4)

20' length of 3/4" OD Welded 316L Stainless Steel BPE Tubing with a 16 gauge (0.065") wall. This SFT4 polished tubing undergoes multiple passes through the polishing heads as well as an electropolishing process to remove the microscopic peaks and valleys that facilitate microbe growth. The resulting finish is an elctropolished 15Ra Max inner diameter (ID) and mechanical polished 32Ra Max outer diameter (OD) that is ideal for pharmaceutical processing plants. The resulting product meets or exceeds both ASME BPE SF4 and ASTM SA249/A249/A269/A270-S2 specifications.
This tubing undergoes a rigorous quality inspection, including destructive and non-destructive examination, at the mill prior to shipment. This 9 point quality inspection examines:
- Strength - Tensile, Burst
- Hardness - Rockwell, Micro
- Soundness - Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, X-Ray
- Leak & Strength - Hydrostatic
- Leak - Air Under Water, Pressure Decay
- Bend Testing - Reverse Bending, Flattening, Reverse Flattening, Flange
- Dimensional - OD, Wall, Straightness
- Metallurgical - Grain Size, Sensitization, Corrosion, Phase Balance/Intermetallic, Metallographic
