Furick Cup FUPA, BBW Welding Cups | Verocious Motorsports
Growing up in New York, Michael Furick was faced with a sink or swim work environment and learned a lot about work ethics at an early age. After attending a local welding class, Michael moved south and began working for a professional drag race team as a fabricator/helper. Fortunate enough to be managed by some incredibly talented people, he was forced to push his limits and abilities. After a few years the mechanics of welding and fabrication came natural.
After the economic down turn he was forced out of the racing world and transitioned to the world of military and defense. Here Michael learned the ins and outs of the manufacturing environments, most importantly about making fixturing and tooling that people with little to no fabrication experience can utilize to make successful parts.
4 years later he would transition back to the racing world building drag bike chassis and engine compnenets in a small engine shop. Eventually he would move on to manage a world renowned exhaust fabrication company, spearheading their US workshop. After helping grow their name in NASCAR and other racing venues across the US, Michael discovered that the workflow revolved around the racing season and it's either feast or famine. Finding the steam from the beginning of the season drying up and work becoming scarce as the racing season ended, he decided to go off on his own and open as shop with no purpose other than to make quality innovative products.
