Precision Turbo's PT6262 Turbochargers from their Street and Race Lineup help you make up to 640 HP, or double up to twins for a much more intimidating and incredible setup. The Precision 6262 Turbo was the turbo that changed history by being the first mass-production unit to feature Precision's groundbreaking CEA® compressor wheel technology. Nowadays the PT6262 CEA® turbocharger is considered "the holy grail" by many in the forced induction world.
Featuring Precision's exclusive CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) 62mm compressor wheel with a 2.450" inducer (62.23mm) and 3.228" exducer (81.99mm) machined from a 2618-aluminum forging. On the exhaust side this turbocharger utilizes a CEA® 62mm 76 trim turbine wheel with a 2.795" inducer (71.0mm) and 2.437" exducer (61.9mm). The PT6262 Turbocharger is a great choice for a cost effective turbo capable of making a respectable amount of power. The Precision 6262 Turbo is available with either the hydrodynamic 360° thrust bearing system (Journal Bearing Turbo) or an air-cooled, dual ceramic ball-bearing (Ball Bearing Turbo) CHRA (center housing rotating assembly). Choose from the B (2.8" Inlet / 2.0" Outlet), E (3.0" Inlet / 2.0" Outlet), or Ported S (4.0" Inlet / 2.5" Outlet) compressor covers to make the most of this turbo.
Precision's exclusive CEA® Compressor Wheels are CNC-machined from 2618-forged Aluminum which is specifically designed for maximum performance. This cutting-edge technology is used to provide greater efficiency and faster transient response which results in less turbo lag than traditional cast wheels of the same size. CEA® wheels can handle high boost pressures, and make significantly more power without sacrificing weight or cost.
Precision Turbochargers are known and respected in the racing, performance, and motorsports communities as being the best of the best. Countless races have been won and hundreds of records set, all using Precision Turbochargers. If you are looking to get the most out of your street or strip car then look no further, Precision will have what you need.
Which Bearing is Right for Me?
No matter your goals or budget, Precision's got the right turbo for you and your build. PTE proudly offers both journal bearing and ball bearing options for most of their turbos. Journal Bearing units utilize a hydrodynamic 360° thrust bearing system and are great for those who want a technologically advanced turbo without spending a ton. However, for those looking for extra performance in the form of faster transient response, less lag, and added thrust capacity, Precision's air or liquid cooled dual ceramic ball bearing turbochargers are the perfect choice.Compressor Cover Options:
Precision Turbo and Engine offers a variety of compressor covers with different inlet and outlet configurations so you can find the perfect fit for your application. On larger model turbo's the revolutionary ported shrouds are available. Ported shrouds, sometimes referred to as anti-surge covers, help alleviate potentially harmful compressor surge by allowing some of the air that gets back up in the intake to flow back out through the housing. This reduces pressure on the turbo's bearing systems to improve durability. You can find dimensional information for each of the available shrouds below.Compressor Cover | A (Inlet) | B (Outlet) | C | D | Shrouded Available |
