Heatshield Standard Exhaust Header heat wrap features a vermiculite coating which makes it capable of withstanding 1200 Deg F continuous and 2000 Deg F intermittent. Standard exhaust wrap is an exhaust insulation that maintains hotter exhaust and header gases, decreasing the gas density which allows the exhaust gas to exit the system faster! This increases exhaust scavenging, pulling intake and exhaust gases through the system faster, helping to lower intake temperatures, which equals more horsepower. Standard exhaust wrap also reduces radiant heat damage and can lower under hood temperatures by as much as 50%. Lower overall under hood temperatures can further reduce your intake temperatures. This exhaust wrap can be fastened with either Heatshield Thermal-Ties™ or hose clamps.

This exhaust wrap is asbestos free and is made from a base high quality fiberglass yarn. Standard exhaust wrap is noncombustible as well as water and fungus resistant. Always wear safety glasses and a dust mask when working with Heatshield Standard Exhaust Wrap. We also recommend gloves and long sleeves when handling this exhaust header wrap.
